SUPERMODEL and TV personality Rachael Finch is in Brisbane for a big retail event. What’s happening?

ALL Rachael Finch wants for Mother’s Day on Sunday week is a real kiss from her daughter.

The TV personality’s seven-month-old, Violet, is still trying to master the affectionate gesture.

“She’s discovering her eyes and lips and what she can do with her body so it would be lovely to get a real kiss,” Finch said.

The former Miss Universe Australia has settled into motherhood and has never been happier.

“It’s the best thing in the world. It’s ­indescribable,” she said. “As cliched as it sounds, it gives you a new lease on life.”

The 25-year-old is in Brisbane to open the David Jones store at Indooroopilly today and catch up with her own mum, Colleen Zablocki.

“I’ve brought Violet with me and my mum flew down (from Townsville) to meet me in Brisbane,” Finch said.

“We don’t get to spend that much time together so it’s great to be able to enjoy some mother-daughter time.”

The three are staying in the one hotel room and will attend today’s official David Jones opening together at 9am before ­indulging in a little retail therapy.

“I will definitely be looking in the children’s wear section. That tends to be where I spend my time these days,” Finch said.

“Coming up to Mother’s Day, it’ll be nice to get something for Mum as well.”

But she doesn’t plan on ignoring her own shopping needs.

“I will hit the changing rooms for me and then I’ll wheel the pram over to the children’s section.”
