Nadia Bartel has turned up at Woolies event looking fabulous
Influencer and former WAG Nadia Bartel has made an unlikely PR move and she was looking absolutely fabulous while doing it.
Influencer Nadia Bartel has swapped glam for sensible and was spotted at Woolworths launch.
Bartel, who is typically spotted on yachts, wearing $700 outfits and hanging out with her famous mates like Bec Judd, decided not to dress down for the supermarket event; instead, she went all out with a soft chic glam look.
The socialite donned a black turtle neck with billowy sleeves, slightly flared jeans and black high heels.
Bartel’s been a staple in Melbourne’s elite social scene for years.
Originally she became famous for marrying AFL footballer Jimmy Bartel, sadly the two split in 2019 after five years together but by that point Bartel had carved out her own social media empire.
The former WAG has amassed over 500,000 followers on Instagram, where she shares snaps of her two children and neutral chic fashion looks - her brand is aspirational meets relatable, however Bartel’s still recovering from a mistake she made.
Things came crashing down in 2021 when she was caught snorting white powder off a Kmart plate at an illegal party during Melbourne’s harshest lockdown in September 2021.
At the time Bartel wrote a lengthy apology on Instagram and added: “I have let you all down by my actions.”
Bartel’s mistake became huge news and it went so viral that even Melbourne’s Premier Dan Andrews addressed her actions and declared it was “a number of people doing the wrong thing,” and advised that it would be taken seriously.
Pretty quickly Bartel was at the bottom of an internet pile on with plenty of people slamming the influencer for her actions and rumours swirling she’d lose brand deals.
Still, Bartel’s managed to maintain her influence - she still has over 500,000 followers on Instagram and she even recently addressed the saga in an interview with Stellar.
“I wanted to tell my story and speak my truth about everything that actually happened.”
But, “as time has passed, I’ve come to a point where I realise – whatever I say, people will have their own opinions, and that’s fine. I just want my actions to speak louder than any words,” she explained.
Bartel also explained that the scandal had a very real impact on her because of the harsh reaction online.
“The social media reaction was very negative towards me; it hurt a lot. What hurt more was the feeling that I’d let people down, disappointed people who I love and whose opinion means the world to me,” she said.
Bartel’s clearly committed to putting in the work to winning everyone back. She’s even popping up at Woolies events.
