Meghan Markle’s diamond bracelet reportedly cost $31k
EVER since the royal engagement, all eyes have been on Meghan — which is perhaps why she opted for a piece of jewellery worth a staggering amount of money.
ALL eyes were on Meghan Markle — again — as she stepped out for her first official royal engagement as a married woman.
The new Duchess of Sussex was all smiles as she accompanied Prince Harry to attend a garden party as part of year-long celebrations for the 70th birthday of her new father-in-law, Prince Charles.
But as former Suits star attended the bash at Buckingham Palace, eagle-eyed fans spotted a new bit of bling alongside her engagement and wedding rings.
A slender bracelet was spied on her left arm, fuelling speculation it’s a wedding present from her new husband.
The stunning piece of jewellery closely resembles a piece on the Cartier website, the Essential Lines Bracelet.
Coming with a range of stones and finishes, Meghan’s is thought to feature white gold with diamonds, and costs a whopping £17,700-£18,700 ($A31,000-$A33,000), depending on size.
The website describes it as featuring “18-carat white gold, set with 61 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 3.34 carats”.
Meghan’s jewellery choices have been closely scrutinised, with the royal bride choosing to wear the same brand on her wedding day.
The 36-year-old opted for a pair of Cartier earrings and a stunning bracelet on the day.
While her wedding bracelet was said to be bespoke, it resembled another piece on the Cartier website, one from the Reflection collection costing £136,000 ($A240,000).
It’s not the first time the new royal has flashed her expensive jewellery collection.
Ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry on Saturday, the new Duchess wore a pair of $12,000 earrings to the royal wedding rehearsal.
Meghan’s white gold Birks Snowflake earrings feature 2.15 carats of diamonds, and are worth a cool £6930 (about $A12,500).
She has worn the Canadian jewellery brand plenty of times in the past, including for her first official post-engagement appearance with Prince Harry and while meeting her new royal family for Christmas lunch in 2017.
