SHE’S the daughter of a model and a movie star.
So it’s no wonder genetically blessed Lily-Rose Depp has landed herself one of the most coveted jobs in fashion - as the new face of Chanel.
The 16-year-old, whose parents are Johnny Depp and Chanel ambassador Vanaessa Paradis, has been named as the face of the French fashion house’s pearl glasses collection.
The campaign has been described as a “baby doll in a world imbued with sweetness and femininity”, style.com reports.
Lily-Rose turned heads at Chanel’s casino-themed haute couture runway show in Paris this month, where she played blackjack next to Kristen Stewart and Julianne Moore.
Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld described her as part of the “new generation” of models.
“Lily-Rose is stunning, she’s a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star,” Lagerfeld said, style.com reports.
Lily-Rose is the latest in a long line of celebrity kids who are fronting fashion campaigns.
David and Victoria Beckham’s son Romeo has modelled for Burberry, Hailey Baldwin (the daughter of Stephen Baldwin) has fronted campaigns for Topshop, while Georgia May Jagger - the daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall - has made a name for herself in campaigns for Lancome, Chanel and Rimmel.
