Lara Worthington finally shares secret wedding dress photo

When she tied the knot with her actor husband, Lara Worthington kept her wedding day private. Now she’s finally revealed her dress.

Lara Worthington has finally shared a photo of her wedding gown, almost 10 years after she secretly tied the knot to husband Sam Worthington.

The Australian model – who rose to fame in the Noughties with the iconic ‘So Where The Bloody Hell Are Ya?’ Tourism Australia advert – secretly tied the knot to her actor other half in 2014.

Their wedding was an intimate affair at Sam’s Melbourne family home. There were less than 10 guests, and Lara’s mum cooked the food for the reception.

Unlike other stars of that era, there was no magazine splash, leaving fans champing at the bit for wedding day details.

As a result, many speculated a photo of the now 35-year-old in what appears to be a change room trying on a white lace Louis Vuitton gown, which hugged her then 7-month baby bump, was Lara’s wedding gown.

Now, the mum-of-three has finally ended speculation about her special dress, telling Marie Claire Australia the simple gown was indeed her wedding dress.

“I bought it in London a couple of days before we were about to get married,” she told the publication.

“It was lucky they had something to fit me because I was seven months pregnant with Rocket at the time.

“I don’t recommend being pregnant and getting married. I still have the dress and would never part with it.”

Her remarks were made on the set of her Marie Claire Australia cover shoot in which she rocks a stunning Dior white gown that could easily be mistaken for a wedding dress.

The structured strapless dress is adorned in flower embellishments and features sheer white fabric weaved across the body.

Lara, who now lives in New York with her husband and their three kids, reportedly was able to get her hands on the rare designer dress thanks to her “pulling power” as “Australia’s fashion darling”.

“Fashion is something that, without saying anything, you can show your personality through,” she told the publication.

As well as the Dior dress, she also posed in a minuscule black bandeau top and matching skirt for Marie Claire Australia.

Her cover comes a few months after Lara, originally from South Sydney, was announced as the official face of luxury skincare line Emma Lewisham.

Lara posed for a series of promo snaps for the partnership at the time wearing a simple all white outfit, comprised of a shirt and jeans, that highlighted her glowing skin.

“I learn a lot from Emma. We both have a strong passion for the environment and giving back,” she told Marie Claire Australia of the ambassador role.

“I can ask her almost anything about skincare and life and she’ll have the perfect answer.”

The skincare brand, which hails from New Zealand, has earned a cult following in Australia due to the founder’s vision of beauty – which gives customers results-driven formulation, while following a sustainable practice. The brand is a member of the global B Corp community, which requires an extensive process to join.

Best selling products include the “Skin Reset Serum”, $143, and the “Supernatural Face Crème Riche”, $140, both of which are now stocked and sold in Mecca stores across Australia.
