Kim Kardashian flashes undies in wild outfit at friend’s wedding
There are countless unspoken rules about what you can and can’t wear to a wedding – but Kim Kardashian appears to have shunned them all.
There are countless unspoken rules about what you can and can’t wear to a wedding – but it appears Kim Kardashian doesn’t care either way.
The reality star turned fashion and beauty entrepreneur opted for an ultra-revealing outfit while attending the nuptials of her former assistant Stephanie Shepherd in Beverly Hills on the weekend.
Kim, 42, rocked a wild black Alaïa dress that left little to the imagination to her friend’s big day which featured a barely-there bodice along with a second-skin lace-up skirt with a daring crotch cutout that flashed her undies.
The Skims founder’s version of the design is more conservative than the one originally shown on Alaïa’s spring 2023 runway. The reality star opted for a racy bra-inspired bodice rather than a completely see-through turtleneck, Page Six reports.
But while Kim’s is positively modest in comparison, there’s no denying it pushes the boundaries of what is socially deemed acceptable to wear to a wedding.
While the mum-of-four did not wear white, a big no-no, she could arguably be seen as trying to upstage the bride.
Flashing the flesh is deemed as “inappropriate” by etiquette experts.
Kim appeared to brush any potential controversy around her sexy outfit aside, pairing it with strappy heels while wearing her signature dark hair loose down her back.
At one stage, she left the star-studded reception held at an LA mansion to pop into a servo for a snack with friend LaLa Anthony.
The reality TV mogul was among a string of other celebrity guests at the event including her mum Kris Jenner and sister Khloe Kardashian. Pals Justin Bieber, Hailey Bieber, Tyler Ferguson and Clive Davis were also at the glamorous party.
Interestingly, Kim is not the only member of the Kardashian family who has gone for a seriously racy outfit at a friend’s wedding.
Her sister Kendall Jenner was heavily slammed for wearing a similar scandalous cut-out dress to a her friend Lauren Perez’s nuptials in 2021.
The skin-baring black gown, designed by Mônot, sparked a social media firestorm, as many labelled it an “inappropriate” and “disrespectful” choice.
Kendall defended her dress by stating she asked the bride for approval in advance, with her BFF backing her up by saying she looked “stunning”.
