Julie Bishop has upheld her reputation as one of the most stylish former politicians, making her mark at the Women’s Weekly Women of the Future Awards.

The former Foreign Minister paired a simple white blazer and black trouser with a $715 silk Hermes scarf draped across her shoulder and Louis Vuitton earrings.

Ms Bishop continued the pops of colour in her shoes and handbag, opting for warm tones to match her red lip.

The former Liberal Party heavyweight was joined by some of Australia’s most high-profile women, including former WAG Phoebe Burgess and TV news stars such as Natalie Barr, Melissa Doyle and Sarah Harris.

Ms Burgess wore silky co-ords with a unique “malted milk” print, pairing trousers with a matching long kimono-style jacket.

She opted for simple, black accessories, looping a black belt around her top, paired with $1075 Balenciaga sandals.

Sunrise host Natalie Barr also donned a kimono-style suit, choosing a pop of pink despite Sydney’s gloomy weather.

She continued the pink theme through her accessories, with pops of bright colours on her nails and earrings.

Melissa Doyle stepped out with teenage daughter Talia Dunlop, 19, who was pretty in pink.

The former Sunrise host paired her burgundy dress with a matching clutch and studded black stilettos.

Ms Bishop was far from the only stylish woman from politics at the Women’s Weekly event, with Sarah Hanson-Young and Dame Quentin Bryce also in attendance.

Ms Bryce struck an elegant figure in a navy skirt-suit, well fitted for a former Governor-general.

Ms Hanson-Young co-ordinated her outfit with her political stripes, wearing a bright green top and a youthful white skirt.
