Jesinta Franklin debuts ‘stunning’ new hairstyle at IWD lunch

The Australian model has debuted a striking new hairstyle at a Sydney event this week, leaving fans stating they “loved” her new look.

When it comes to her hair, Jesinta Franklin is a style chameleon.

The model and mother-of-two debuted her new darker locks while attending Gritty Pretty’s International Women’s Day lunch on Tuesday.

Franklin traded in her sun-kissed brown hair for a darker tone which she wore out straight for the event.

The 30-year-old also sported a red lip and all-white outfit in a Camilla And Marc dress and shoes by Bottega Veneta.

Sharing photos of herself at the event on Instagram, followers praised Franklin’s “stunning” new hair colour.

“You look absolutely gorgeous. Your hair suits you perfectly!” one person commented.

“Loving the darker hair Jesinta,” another wrote.

“Love your dark hair, so youthful and pretty,” one follower also commented.

During her time in the spotlight Franklin hasn’t been afraid to embrace different hairstyles – famously trading in her long wavy brunette locks for a platinum blonde bob in December 2017.

In 2018, she transformed her hair further by cutting it shorter into a striking pixie cut.

Franklin told Beauty Crew in 2019 that going short had been “really freeing and really liberating” after previously having to conform to clients’ wishes when modelling.

“I wanted to show women that there wasn’t just one standard of beauty. You can have short hair and still be sexy or beautiful, you don’t have to have the long flowing blonde hair to fit a certain standard of beauty,” she said.

“I just wanted to take a chance and do something different and it’s just made me feel really, really good.”

But while pregnant with her daughter Tallulah, Franklin decided to go back to her roots and dyed her hair brunette again.

Franklin also struggled with the same lockdown woes as most of Sydney last year, sharing a video call between her and her hairdresser, Diane Gorgievski from Bondi’s Koda Cutters, as she cut her own hair at home.

“The things we do in lockdown! Who else is missing their hairdresser!?” she captioned a video of her at-home haircut.
