Jennifer Hawkins shoots for Myer's spring-summer campaign in Fiji

A GROUP of Fijian school children almost swept Jennifer Hawkins off her feet as she began shooting Myer's spring-summer campaign in the shallows of the tropical paradise.

A GROUP of local Fijian school children almost swept Jennifer Hawkins off her feet in the shallows of the tropical paradise as she began shooting Myer's spring summer campaign on Thursday.

Sporting a stunning Alex Perry lace beaded gown, the former Miss Universe relished the opportunity to meet the children fresh from their day at school.

“It's really lovely to meet some of the locals, especially the children,” she said.

“You see how simply they live and how happy they are, it's quite inspiring.”

The Australia's Next Top Model host is thrilled to be able to finally don a gown from her designer friend Alex Perry, who has defected from David Jones.

“It's so exciting. I've been waiting a few months since we announced it,” she said.

“The feeling I get when I put on his dresses, I feel sexy and feminine, but they also have an edge to them.”

Hawkins is joined by fellow Myer face Kris Smith and 35 crew on the 11-day tropical shoot showcasing the retailer's stable of local and international designers.

New labels to join the list alongside Perry are White Suede, Little Joe and the recently signed by Johnny, a firm favourite of first sisters Frances and Bridget Abbott.

“It's a perfect fit having by Johnny in the mix at Myer,” Hawkins said. “I wore him once on Top Model and his collections are fresh and new and vibey.”
