Jean Paul Gaultier hosts Sydney WorldPride launch with Vogue, GQ

A Sydney burlesque dancer made a jaw-dropping appearance at an event hosted by Jean Paul Gaultier in Sydney to launch WorldPride.

WorldPride has officially kicked off in Australia – and despite being just a few hours into the two-week event, the outfits are already dazzling.

A string of LGBTQIA+ talent and supporters kicked off the festivities on in Sydney on Thursday at an event hosted by Jean Paul Gaultier together with Vogue Australia and GQ.

Fashion icon Christian Wilkins was among the well-known faces at the party which celebrated the perfume brand’s new limited-edition Pride Collector fragrances “Get Used To It”.

The model, who is the son of Channel 9 presenter Richard Wilkins and his former wife Michelle Burke, wore a structured leather-style bustier with matching colourful sleeves.

Christian paired the striking top with a pair of khaki cargo pants and chunky black boots.

The 27-year-old wore their blonde hair down, swept to the side, with stunning eye art applied by make-up artist Danh Doan.

Singer Jack Vidgen was also in attendance at the private Sydney event in the city’s CBD wearing an all-white ensemble.

Neighbours star Kath Ebbs, the soap’s first non-binary actor, also attended – posing in a pair of chic jeans, crop top and black blazer against the brand’s silver media wall.

Stylist Donny Galella opted for an all black ensemble, rocking a semi-sheer shirt with pants and a pair of Louboutin loafers.

The celebrity fashion stylist was also rocking a limited-edition Fairfax & Roberts bracelet he’s designed with the jeweller to celebrate Pride made from freshwater pearls and matte onyx beads.

There are eight matte onyx beads on the $145 piece, representing all the characters in LGBTQIA+ community, as well as gold crylic rondelle beads separating them.

Drag artist Etcetera Etcetera made a stunning appearance at the party in a sheer dress that showed off their G-string.

They weren’t the only person at the bash who opted for a cheeky outfit, with burlesque performer Porcelain Alice wearing a floor length red gown with a very low cut back.

The dress, designed by Nicol & Ford, flashed the social media star’s behind.

Other attendees included Milo Hartill, Seann Miley Moore and Tara Chandra as well was Heartbreak High star James Majoos.

The limited-edition Pride Collectors fragrances are encased in the brand’s iconic bottles with graffiti artwork that reads “Get Used To It”, inspired by Jean Paul Gaultier’s 1994 fashion show.

In support of the LGBTQIA+ community, Jean Paul Gaultier is also donating $20 from every bottle of Pride Collector fragrance sold to ACON, an organisation in NSW that helps strengthen and support the LGBTQIA+ communities’ health and wellbeing.

Australians can also get involved in the brand’s campaign using the hashtag #JPGGetUsedToIt for the chance to be featured on vogue.com.au and Myer window displays in Sydney’s CBD.
