It’s easy to assume the highlight of Derby Day is being trackside at Flemington Racecourse, but for the most elite attendees, the best part of the prestigious event happens after dark.
Some of Australia’s most famous faces headed to Bar Bambi for the VIP Derby Day After Party with Tequila Don Julio 1942, where the exclusive guests continued the Melbourne Cup Carnival festivities in style.
Former WAG and entrepreneur Nadia Bartel led the celebrity attendees on the night, opting for a figure-hugging outfit from her fashion brand Henne.
The 39-year-old opted for a nude miniskirt which she paired with a sheer top that flashed her bra.
Bartel finished the look with a pair of pointed heels and wore her signature bronde locks cascading down her shoulders.
Of course, Bartel is never usually far from her gal pal Rebecca Judd, who wore a strapless white floorlength gown to the exclusive event.
The dress featured a striking cape detailing which hung off her arms.
Bar Bambi owner Nick Russian and his influencer wife Rozalia were also at the star-studded bash which saw guests sip on a Tommy’s margarita fountain.
Rozalia, who has 267,000 followers on Instagram, opted for an off-the-shoulder white gown with a sheer skirt.
She wore her dark hair back for a chic look as she posed alongside her bar-owner husband.
Other famous guests included former Bachelor star Anna Heinrich, racing royalty Kate Waterhouse and Stella Klim – the daughter of “Bali princess” Lindy Klim.
Celebrity stylist Lana Wilkinson and Melbourne socialite Jessie Roberts were also at the Bar Bambi bash.
The late-night bar and restaurant – which has become a cult-celebrity hotspot since its opening in 2021 – also served up a custom menu serving kingfish crudo and its take on “vodka pasta” which was infused with tequila.
One of the most exciting moments from the evening was the official unveiling of the Tequila Don Julio 1942 Mini’s, which are finally launching in Australia after being made famous globally at the 2024 Oscars.
The after-party was a very different pace from earlier in the day when the stars were all dressed to the nines while enjoying various different marquees inside the exclusive Birdcage.
Judd, 41, had looked fabulous in a sleek white outfit that included a giant oversized hat and white gloves while inside the Crown enclosure.
Meanwhile, Bartel had looked loved up with her boyfriend Peter Dugmore while enjoying the amenities inside the LANDMARK by Lexus marquee.
The mum-of-two had also worn her own fashion label Henne while at the annual race event held by the Victorian Racing Club.
Fans went wild for the “stunning” ensemble, declaring Bartel “best dressed”.
“Killed the look,” one said.
“Your outfit is so modern elegance,” another shared.
“You look gorgeous! Someone who gets the brief,” agreed someone else.
