Famous men are embracing a ‘naked’ fashion trend

Usually it’s only famous women that embrace the “naked” fashion trend but now the most famous men in the world are getting in on the action.

‘Everything old is new again’ with feminine men trend

Famous people have decided to get naked this year and are taking to the streets in see-through looks.

The elites have forgone fashion for feral, almost nakedness chic, and I’ve practically had to take a Gaviscon to recover from the excitement of it all.

A chic sign towards the equality that all women desperately crave is that famous women aren’t the only ones embracing the naked trend.

Rita Ora, Meghan Fox, Kendall Jenner, Sabrina Carpenter, and Emily Ratajkowski have all been spotted in see-through outfits.

Now Donald Glover, Taika Waititi and Shawn Mendes have also been spotted getting half-naked on the red carpet.

Usually when a sexy fashion trend takes the famous people by storm, women are the only ones that embrace it.

Famous women will be standing there in something sheer while their male partners get to dress like sensible mums at the netball.

A recent example of this kind of juxtaposition is when Nicola Peltz-Beckham was snapped strutting alongside her husband, Brooklyn Beckham.

She was in a see-through catsuit with her underwear on full display, and Brooklyn was beside her wearing a comfortable pair of slacks, a T-shirt and a blazer.

She looked like she was about to film a super sexy music video, and he looked like he was popping into Coles.

When it comes to fashion, we are used to seeing women try and men turn up looking like they just threw on whatever they found on their bedroom floor, after sniffing it to make sure they could wear it.

Justin Bieber is a big culprit of this.

He’ll walk around like he just rolled out of bed and needs to take the dog outside to pee, and his wife Hailey Bieber will step out beside him like she’s heading off to Fashion Week.

So consider me absolutely tickled to see men embracing a fashion trend that requires effort, confidence and ignoring outdated masculinity tropes.

The uniform of a famous man is usually non-descriptive pants and a T-shirt paired with an oversized jacket, but now the men are getting in on the naked action, and tummies are being revealed left, right, and centre.

Men are heading onto red carpets and leaving their shirts at home in the dryer.

So they are wearing suits without a shirt underneath, and how much they skin they show is up to them.

Some are going full Britney Spears in the early 2000s, and others are pulling a Taylor Swift and leaving just a little on display.

It isn’t just one particular type of man.

Sure, there are always a few rogue men in Hollywood that push the fashion boundaries; thank you, Harry Styles, but this time, all types of men seem to be getting in on the fun.

I picture an anxious PR woman screaming to a celebrity stylist down the phone. “You put him in a shirt? Don’t you know that is so 2021?”

Everyone from actor Timothée Chalamet to basketballer Dwyane Wade are getting in on the naked action.

I’m half expecting to see Kochie wandering around shirtless at this point. Perhaps we got it all wrong and Michael Clarke wondering around Noosa park shirtless was a fashion move?

Like any celebrity fashion trend, some people love it, some people hate it but we can’t deny it is refreshing to see the men stripping down for a change as well.
