An Australian influencer who suffered a “wardrobe malfunction” on a Sydney red carpet has revealed she had “no idea” her gorgeous gown had “exposed” more than she bargained for.

Amy Castano, who co-owns popular celebrity gym Acero with her personal trainer ex-husband Jono, attended the star-studded Gladiator II premiere at the ICC on Wednesday night.

While the 32-year-old’s fans described Castano’s red carpet look as “unreal” and “jaw-dropping”, she was shocked to discover she had “suffered a wardrobe malfunction” after photos captured by photographers were published online.

“I actually didn’t know until I saw the photos,” she told news.com.au.

“The split was very high and I think the angle of the photo exposed a little bit more than I was hoping for.

“But I felt amazing in my look. I think it came together so well, the hair, make-up, accessories, combined with the outfit, I loved it.”

Photos show the split at the side of Castano’s fuchsia gown flashed her upper thigh and groin area as she posed at the exclusive event alongside by the movie’s stars, Irish actor Paul Mescal and Danish actress Connie Nielsen.

Castano said she’s taken the incident in her stride, revealing it’s not the first time she’s experienced a “relatable” fashion moment – and it probably won’t be the last.

“As women, we each have unique body shapes, and sometimes the way clothes are designed may not cater to all body types, leading to potential wardrobe malfunctions,” she said.

“Lost for words,” someone else added.
