Prestigious and pricey French fashion label Louis Vuitton has chosen an unexpected location for its next store

Louis Vuitton heads to the sunny shores of Bondi

IT HAS up-market eateries, the famous Icebergs pool, backpackers, rich peeps, struggling peeps and everything in between.

And now, Bondi is about to be home to one of the priciest fashion labels in the world.

Famous French brand Louis Vuitton is renowned for it signature logo prints and hefty price tags but in a bold move it has chosen a location at Bondi for its latest store.

The label, favoured by a million celebrities from the Kardashians to Angelina Jolie, Elton John and the Beckhams, is opening its ‘pop-up’ store which will premiere a selection of the Autumn-Winter 2017 men’s collection — a collaboration between Louis Vuitton and American brand Supreme.

But before you get too excited, you are going to need to do your maths, rework your budget and shell out some fairly big bucks. Prices start at $345 for the smallest of goodies to thousands for industrial strength pieces.

The store will be located on Roscoe Street, perched nest a swag of surfers, hipsters and Bondi try-hards.

Louis Vuitton has collaborated with Supreme — a cool-school label created by prolific illustrator Wilfred Limonious and is made up of New York culture of the ‘recent’ past with the 70s, 80s, and early 90s as the points of inspiration for the Autumn-Winter collection.

“It’s uptown and downtown, artists and musicians, friends and heroes,” says Kim Jones, men’s artistic director of the French brand. “No New York City men’s conversation is complete without Supreme.”

The collection is an ode to the multitude of styles that coexist and co-mingle in New York City with inspiration coming from all walks of New York City life, spanning three decades and a multifaceted view of masculinity.

The Louis Vuitton pop-up will offer a variety of items from the collection including leather goods, ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories, as well as exclusive items offered only in the pop-up, until July 13.
