‘She deserves it’: Woman ‘only buying’ Christmas presents for her dog
A model has revealed why she’ll only be buying Christmas presents for herself and her dog this year.
A model is only buying Christmas presents for herself and her dog this year – and even intends to treat her pet to a festive feast.
Kelsey Johnson loves to spoil her beloved dog Nova, The Sun reports.
Although she’s spending Christmas without family this year, the former charity worker insisted all she needs by her side is her furry best friend.
“I’ll spend a couple of hundred on my dog and I’ll spend about £500 ($952) on myself for clothes, perfumes and a January holiday,” she said.
“I won’t be seeing any family on Christmas. I’ll probably skip Christmas dinner myself but my dog will get a beef dinner.
“All the presents under the tree will be for my dog from me, and for me from me.”
She added that she loves “spoiling Nova because she truly deserves it”.
“She does not expect it nor want for anything, and that’s why she deserves it the most,” Ms Johnson said.
“She makes me smile every day and makes life brighter on even the worst days.
“I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my Christmas budget, than to splurge it on her. After all, I am her whole life and she will have every Christmas with me.
“I love spoiling her on Christmas and her birthday – she gets lots of presents, a dog-friendly cake, and she gets a steak dinner too.
“She loves opening her presents with my help, her favourite gift is a frisbee and she loves soft toys too.”
The Sun previously reported how Ms Johnson had celebrated becoming a millionaire at the age of 25.
Originally from the tiny village of Thurso in Scotland, she said she hoped to donate a decent chunk of her income to help those less fortunate.
But that hasn’t stopped her from enjoying a luxury lifestyle – as proven by the time she spent £500,000 ($952,000) in one day on a brand new house, Mercedes SUV, hot tub and a special juicer.
She was even hit with an £80,000 ($152,489) tax bill after all her success.
