Harry Potter Christmas lights set up in Sydney home
Muggles have been welcomed to a special Christmas lights display as the team from Harry Potter have transformed an Aussie home into a magical wonderland.
Sydneysiders have been invited to hop on their broomsticks to attend the nation’s most magical Christmas lights display, with a Harry Potter-themed home now open for free.
A regular Aussie home on Alfred St in Ramsgate Beach in Sydney’s south has been transfigured into a Christmas spectacular by Warner Bros. to spread the festive joy to witches, wizards and Muggles.
The free lights are open from Wednesday until Boxing Day and feature beloved elements of the Harry Potter movies such as floating candles and glowing Golden Snitches.
Santa has swapped his regular sleigh and reindeer for a carriage pulled by Thestrals and there are five Dobby statues hidden in the display for people to find.
There’s also a Whomping Willow tree lit up in all its glory surrounded by luminous Patronus Animals.
Even the two giant Christmas trees are adorned with the Hogwarts house colours.
Fans keen to take a look at the house will be able to do so until Christmas, with lights on each day from 7.30pm.
With the magic to last two weeks, Warner Bros. Discovery marketing director Sasha Mackie said there was plenty of time for families to enjoy the Christmas magic.
“Harry Potter is getting ready to cast a spell on Australia this holiday season and next year,” she said.
“Whether you’re a lifelong fan or looking for a new Christmas tradition, our magical Harry Potter Christmas Lights house is a must-visit destination and something everyone can enjoy.”
