Celebrities show off their elaborate Christmas trees
The Aussie star couldn’t resist a budget buy of an expensive item she saw in Myer – while some aren’t fans, Sophie reckons it’s great.
When it comes it buying a Christmas tree, it can often be a stressful and expensive task, but Aussie media personality Sophie Monk decided to ditch the traditional green tree for a “rich looking” alternative.
The singer and actress opted for an affordable $65 white Christmas tree from Big W.
“I saw one like it in Myer years ago and thought ‘that looks so rich’,” Sophie recently said on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

But instead of going for the Myer version, Sophie went for the cheaper alternative at Big W after she won a debate with her boyfriend Joshua Gross to buy a white Christmas tree.
“Josh said, ‘it looks like a retirement home’,” Sophie told the radio hosts.
“I’m not saying Big W is bad, but it was 65 bucks and I thought I’d give it a go and pretty much, yeah, I went to a poll on Instagram and they said, “nah, it’s cr*p.”
Despite what they think, the 40-year-old stuck by her new tree.
A Big W spokesperson told news.com.au they have seen incredible demand for their Christmas trees this year, in particular the White Christmas tree which is now down to $52.
“It has been a family favourite for Big W for many years,” the spokesperson said. “Standing at 195cm with an incredible price of only $52 (save $13) it’s a beautiful foundation for those wanting to achieve the popular whimsical trend with pastels and mystical ornaments.”

JACKIE ‘O’ HENDERSON
Meanwhile, Jackie O stunned her more than 200,000 Instagram followers after uploading a video of her “next level” tree.
“I’m soooo in love with this Christmas tree, I’ve been staring at it all day,” the KIIS FM radio host captioned the post.
The mother-of-one tagged bespoke Christmas tree stylists Dancer and Dasher gushing over their work – and according to their website, a standard 180cm tree and decoration supply package costs $2500 and installation starts from $1000.
“This is incredible. So magical," one follower wrote.
“Wow how mesmerising.. that is stunning,” added another, while others described it as “next level”.
The 45-year-old’s went for a pastel tree with a white tree skirt that was erected inside her Woollahra mansion.

DELTA GOODREM
Delta Goodrem also got help this year and hired the same stylists erect her classy Christmas tree.
The company shared pictures of Delta’s tree on Instagram, and explained that it comes complete with silver berry sprays, champagne encrusted garlands and white icicles.
“Adorned with silvery berry sprays, white icicles, jewelled picks and champagne encrusted garlands just to name a few,” they wrote on Instagram.
“This Christmas spectacular is even more amazing in the flesh!
“This bespoke tree has brought me so much joy and meaning to be able to design and create this for beautiful person it now belongs to.”

PR queen Roxy Jacenko decided to go for a real pine Christmas tree fitted in her Sydney offices.
The trees which range from $120, were decorated using blue, red and gold baubles and candy canes.
“Proud !! Beautiful decorating by Annie and Nour in our team of this @dondelamour real Christmas Tree today at the office,” the mother-of-two captioned the snap.
However, for her home, the PR guru followed in the footsteps of Jackie O and Delta by hiring the team at Dasher and Dancer to erect her very elaborate, red tree.
“Our 2020 Christmas Tree is in – WOW. @danceranddasher you’ve done it again. This year we went for traditional tones of Red, Christmas Green and Gold,” she wrote alongside a snap of the tree.
Some of her followers said there was “too much going on”, while others branded it as an “amazing masterpiece”.
