Aldi shoppers race to nab bon bons with crystals from Swarovski
Christmas bon bons often contain boring gifts, but not these Aldi crackers. There’s a reason shoppers are losing their minds over it.
Aussies are losing their minds over this “never before seen” range of bon bons at Aldi.
While Christmas crackers often contain boring gifts you’re likely never to use — these ones are guaranteed to put a smile
Each festive cracker contains a party hat, a joke and a piece of jewellery that comes embellished in Swarovski crystals — all for just $20.
The makers behind the fancy, yet affordable pack is Hidden Secrets.
The brand’s Kmart jewellery range also caused a frenzy this week after a shopper noticed that various sets featured Swarovski crystals for just $15.
Inside the sparkly Aldi bon bons you will find rectangular stud earrings, circular stud earrings, a circular crystal necklace and a flower silhouette necklace — all featuring crystals from the luxurious Austrian jewerly makers.
Facebook has become awash with posts from shoppers on the hunt for the six-pack.
“I was at the door on special day only to be told the shop didn’t receive any, I have been scouring all near us to no avail. If any one could point me in the right direction I would be forever grateful,” one woman wrote.
“We got them two weeks ago on the Gold Coast so if your store hasn’t had them yet, it’s gotta be soon!” another responded.
Others who have managed to nab the item joked that they didn’t want to hand them out.
“Swarovski crystal embellished jewellery makes me want to keep them for myself instead of putting them on the table,” one mum wrote on Facebook.
“I’ve never seen this before, kind of don’t want to share the crackers and just crack myself new jewellery instead,” another added.
Some Facebook users are offering to give up their packs to those who have struggled to nab the popular item
“I’ve got three of that secret bon bons that I know some were looking for. I have one box silver and two box gold I bought this morning. I thought maybe get them. If anyone still needs them and lives in NSW near Cabramatta area you’re more than welcome to come get them. Just pay for what I paid for $20 each,” one generous woman wrote.
The $20 crackers are available at selected Aldi stores across the country and only while stocks last.
