Woman’s horror honeymoon disaster after common treatment
A new bride has shared the unexpected and very inconvenient pre-wedding day reaction she experienced to a common treatment.
A new bride has revealed she had an unexpected allergic reaction a day before her wedding — and it was still in full force as she prepared for her honeymoon.
Jessica was set to marry her partner of seven years, Brandon, after seven years together however two days before the couple’s big day she got her eyebrows waxed.
Her sensitive skin had a severe reaction to something the beautician used and she woke up the next day to discover her eyelids and forehead had turned bright red and swelled up.
A video she posted to social media showed her eyes were almost completely swollen shut.
“Is this how you thought day one of our honeymoon would be going,” she asked Brandon.
“Now what I thought I’d be waking up to the day after our wedding,” Brandon joked back.
The pair were on their way to see a doctor about her allergic reaction.
“But it is a bit severe this time so we are just gonna go get it seen before we head off for our honeymoon,” the influencer behind @the.kind.duo said.
Brandon did make sure to say he still thought his new bride was beautiful.
Social media users expressed their shock over what had happened, with one saying Jessica had broken a golden rule when it came to wedding preparations.
“Getting waxed A DAY BEFORE and getting a spray tan is literally a big no no, whole wedding ruined,” one social media user said.
Another added: “Oh noo! You’re not meant to do any waxing on the face after 7 days out from your event.”
Some offered their own experience and well wishes for a speedy recovery.
“This happened me too. Had eyebrows waxed and I was puffy and itchy then I put makeup on and got a huge infection,” one said.
Another added: “Oh sweetie, I hope you get healed fast! You are beautiful.”
