VICTORIA’S Secret angel Bridget Malcolm knows that preparation is the key to killing it on the runway. Here are the three beauty products she can’t live without.
BRIDGET Malcolm knows that preparation is the absolute key to killing it on the Victoria’s Secret runway.
After making her debut alongside Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid as an angel in New York last year, the 24-year-old is in total preparation mode as she gets angel-ready for the 2016 casting call.
While exercise and diet take up a large portion of getting runway ready, the 24-year-old said her beauty regimen is just as important.
The Aussie sensation, who is the newest face of Australia’s iconic swimwear brand Seafolly, told news.com.au about the three beauty products she cannot live without — no matter where she is in the world.
PRODUCT 1: IS Clinical Active Serum
“This product is a complete life changer,” Bridget told news.com.au.
“This product has completely changed my skin. I use it every night before my heavier serum.”
The bronzed and glowing Perth-born model said while the product “tends to burn a little” when applied to her face and décolletage, she loves the feeling because that’s how she “knows it’s working”.
“This serum is great for resurfacing, but it has retinol in it so you need to be sun safe.”
Which brings us to her next product must-have.
PRODUCT 2: Control Corrective Sunscreen
As the face and body of Seafolly, Bridget loves nothing more than escaping home to Australia’s beautiful beaches and spending time in the sun and surf.
But knowing full well the impact our harsh climate has on the skin, the blonde beauty doesn’t leave home without certain sun protection.
“Sunscreen is a must have wherever I go,” she said.
“I love the Control Corrective sunscreen because it’s oilfree and doesn’t leave you feeling clogged up and greasy.”
PRODUCT 3: Éminence Organic Citrus Lip Balm
Travelling across the globe, and stepping on and off planes on a daily basis means Bridget needs to keep not only her skin and lips hydrated and photo ready.
“I am completely obsessed with Éminence Organic Citrus Lip Balm,” she said.
“No one has ever heard of it, but everyone that tries it becomes as obsessed as I am.
“It’s orange and citrusy and organic and a really nice product. What I love is that while it’s only a lip balm, it doesn’t get clammy or chunky when applied.
“It’s really hard to find, so I order it on Amazon or this little shop in Williamsburg in New York. But it really leaves my lips feeling supple and hydrated.”
Bridget, who admits that she has upped her workout routines ahead of the 2016 VS casting call, said that she has three things she will not eat when getting angel ready.
“Leading up to the show I drink lots of water, protein shakes and vegetables. I really love to cook so I do a lot of it myself,” she said.
“I eat clean year round, so I avoid all desserts, sugars and starchy type foods.
“I always look forward to having something other than what I’m eating leading up to a show. But it’s a couple of months of my life, and it’s so worth it so I’m willing to make that sacrifice to be able to walk with Victoria’s Secret again.”
Bridget currently lives in New York with her husband, musician Nathaniel Hoho, who she married in July 2016.
