QUEENSLAND bikini designer Karina Irby, 28, has received an enormous response to a short video she posted on Instagram.

Yesterday she shared this clip with her 839,000 Instagram followers and it quickly racked up views and comments.

Ms Irby is passionate about giving women a reality check about the pictures they see on Instagram.

She has posted repeatedly telling women that they shouldn’t alway believe what they see and that many “influencers” heavily edit their photos.

“Secret’s out ... Introducing to you the classic “Insta Girl Edit”, where the skin gets smoother, the a*s gets better, the boobs get bigger, the waist gets smaller and online confidence goes through the roof,” she writes on her latest video post.

“But what happens offline? When did we lose our little girl confidence? When we were young we didn’t care how we look, and we surely didn’t compare ourselves to the girl next to us.

“Whether it be Social Media, magazines, movies or Hollywood ... something changes and we start endlessly comparing ourselves to others and strive to potentially be something we aren’t.

“I’ve been there. And I’m confident a lot of us reading this have, or are still painting a different picture of themselves,” she writes.

“The sooner we decide to accept ourselves for who we are and care less about other people’s criticism, the happier we are going to be. I know from first hand experience I am!”

The post has been liked almost 233k times, with many followers thanking her for her honesty.

“This is crazy! I didn’t even know you could do that ... you are perfect in your unedited photo,” writes @becca.l.xo.

”Such an inspiration. You make me feel so much more confident in myself!! Much love and respect for you girl!” writes @lr.b.ml.

Earlier this week Ms Irby made headlines again when she clapped back at trolls who called her “fat” in the comments section.

She revealed that weightlifting has given her the “booty of her dreams”.

“Trolls will comment that I’m now “fat” BUT in reality I’m a happy healthy lady,” she wrote on the Instagram post.

“I was pretty unhealthy in my first photo. Not eating right and not taking care of my body.

“Yes I’ve gained weight, both fat and muscle but I’m now training four times a week and eating for my body. I’m feeling gooooooood! It’s crazy what eating and weights can do.”

The two photos, taken four years apart, show the bikini designer wearing swimwear from her own collection, Moana Bikini.

Previously she shared a before and after beach photo and asked followers to spot eight edits she made to her body.

Karina revealed the edits she had made to the bikini shot. Luna Dunham Stopped Managing Her Twitter Account Because of Body Shaming
