MEGHAN Markle’s youthful complexion is thanks to her unusual facials with Nichola Joss.

MEGHAN Markle shone at her wedding thanks to her youthful glow and radiant skin.

It’s been revealed that the actor keeps her complexion shining thanks to a very bizarre facial which involves “massaging clients mouths from the inside out”.

The former actor regularly visits British facialist Nichola Joss to keep her skin looking plumped.

And the skincare professional likes to get up-close and personal to clients during their visit, working the skin from inside the cheeks and mouth with her fingers.

One of the treatments the London-based facialist offers is a Bespoke Sculpting Inner Facial, which costs £250 ($AU442) for an hour’s session.

According to the website, this involves a “massage from inside the mouth to de-stress the muscle tissue and improve the tone and firmness of the facial muscles to add youth and vitality”.

This is said to encourage the muscles to sit higher and with more volume and youth.

Beauty writer Elisa Roche, who experienced the unusual inner-mouth facial, revealed what it was like during the experience.

She said: “After cleansing, she went to work massaging my skin deeply with her own blend of organic oils, first from the outside in and then — with latex gloves, from the inside out.

“She literally put her hands inside my mouth and massaged around my gums and inside my cheeks, telling me she could feel knots in my skin just like massage therapists feel knots in back tissue. She warned me it might hurt.

“So often we are told to be gentle with the skin on our faces, so this was a revelation. And I could feel her getting tension out of facial muscles that had been storing stress for years.”

Nichola, who has numerous celebrity clients, has revealed a three-step skincare routine that she advises for bride-to-be, so everyone can feel like a princess when they tie the knot.

The London-based facialist recommends brides double cleanse and massage their faces every single day in the run-up to the wedding.

She said you should avoid using new products or treatments four weeks before the big day and should establish new routines early on.

On the day itself, Nichola gives all brides a £50 ($AU88) mask by Decléor to ensure their skin is glowing.

It is the Decléor’s Prolagène Lift Contouring Lift Firm Mask, which is an anti-ageing, one-minute mask that aims to create radiant and firm skin.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said: “What a gentle facial will do is encourage good facial contours, get rid of any puffiness, keep the lights of the eyes nice and sparkly.”

The skincare professional also advised brides stay clear of any aggressive or invasive treatments close to the wedding, such as injectables.

“You definitely want to be very gentle on your skin. Massage your skin every day, to remove any tensions and stress,” Nichola said.

Just cleansing once is not enough for Nichola, who says this is the biggest mistake she sees ladies making.

“Double cleansing is super important. It is also really essential to use a toner,” she said.

Nichola also rates skin supplements — and recommends anti-ageing pill Lumity for skin health and hair thickness.

She added: “I have more energy, I am sleeping better and feel rejuvenated upon waking.”

Everyone from J-Lo to Gisele Bündchen, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Millie Mackintosh and Gwyneth Paltrow are fans of the beautician’s facials.

One this is for sure, if it is good enough for Meghan Markle, it is good enough for us.
