The biggest controversy that has the internet in a tizz today is Gigi Hadid’s underarms. Specifically, in this video of the supermodel done for Love magazine’s annual advent calendar, does she, or does she not sport hairy underarms?

Exhibit A is the very clear appearance of something dark in her pit region.

Surely it looks like she has ditched the razor? Perhaps she has spent so much time over the last few months reading post-Weinstein commentary she has decided to eschew normative beauty standards?
However, then we come to Exhibit B, a comment from make-up artist Hung Vanngo who worked on the shoot. He says the dark shadows in her pit region are not follicular but to do with the “sweat and dust” on set.
To which we say, huh? You spend that much time, effort and money on a film shoot involving one of the world’s most in-demand supermodels and no one notices that she has gotten all dirty?

If she has embraced her natural armpits then she’s in good company, joining the likes of Julia Roberts, Madonna, Paris Jackson and Lola Kirke who have all happily said sayonara to the Schicks of late.
If not, then there is an assistant of some sort who is no doubt out of a job.
