Stunning plus-size model shares brutally honest post about stretch marks

SHE usually posts perfectly-arranged photos, but this model’s fans went wild when she revealed a selfie revealing the blemishes they aren’t usually shown.

PLUS-SIZE model Lucija Lugomer has posted a photo of her stretch marks on Instagram in a bid to encourage women to stop going to “battle” with their own bodies.

The 24-year-old Croatian shared an image of herself in her bathroom, lifting her shorts so the marks on her hips and upper thighs were visible, reports The Sun.

She captioned it: “My two sunflowers. Each on both sides.

“Every woman ever: You basically ended up going into a battle with your own body.

“Every time you look in the mirror, every time you see an image of someone who you look up to, of someone who doesn’t look like you, you think you’re not good enough. And that’s really sad. Because your body is your HOME!

“It’s not holding you back from anything! The only thing that’s holding you back is the belief that something is wrong with you. My imperfections are my perfections! Be unique! Be you!”

Fans of the model who lives in the city of Dubrovnik in southern Croatia were quick to praise her.

Marijana commented: “Young girls will really like you because you show them how much you are sure in yourself and you teach them to love themselves as they are! You are a true role model!”

Gulzar added: “So, beautiful” and ‘Astre’ chipped in: “Beautiful and sexy.”

Lucija — known as Croatia’s first plus-size model — has over 93k followers on Instagram and is known for sharing inspiring messages.

She regularly posts pictures of herself in swimwear and form-fitting clothes, but has admitted it took her a while to accept her body.

She previously explained: “I needed time to accept my body. As a teenager, I was the most developed and there were many jokes on my account and it was not easy for me.

“After I came on the scene there were many girls with plus sizes calling the agency, interested to become a model like I am.”
