Social media trolls fat shame Lady Gaga during Superbowl performance
AS MOST of us watched in awe as Lady Gaga sung, danced and leapt her way through the Super bowl, some were having a go at her appearance.
AS MOST of us watched in awe as Lady Gaga sung, danced and leapt her way through an epic 12-minute halftime show during the Super bowl — some were quick to criticise the singer, and not for her performance.
“Watching Lady GaGa's stomach hang over her pants,” one Twitter user mocked.
“I can see why Lady Gaga was breathing so heavy, her stomach was protesting her #SuperBowl performance,” another chimed in.
As Gaga rocked her way across the stage in a crop top and silver shorts, the 30-year-old’s apparent “belly” became a buzzing subject for some social media users — stealing the limelight from her stellar performance.

Gaga, who performed a medley of some of her biggest hits including, “Poker Face” and “Born this Way”, supported her performance with a string of theatrics, fire, costumes — and of course that incredible leap from the top of the Super bowl stadium.
But while it was difficult for some trolls to look past her apparent ‘tummy pouch’, Gaga fans were quick to dismiss the haters — congratulating the star for showing a ‘real’ body on stage.

Lady Gaga’s jaw-dropping performance opened atop Houston’s NRG Stadium, delivering a line from the Pledge of Allegiance as the night sky lit up with hundreds of Intel drones forming the colours of the American flag.
And then: One giant leap. Gaga hurled herself from the rooftop, dropping out of the camera’s sight and apparently plummeting some 79 metres to the pitch below before starting her performance.
All eyes were on Gaga to see if she’d use the platform to have a dig at President Donald Trump, but instead — she played by the rules and kept her message subtle.
“How are you doing tonight, Texas? How are you doing tonight, America?” Gaga asked.
“We’re here to make you feel good,” she said.
