The Australian beauty Instagrammed a picture from the upcoming Swimsuit Issue to announce the news, stating that she was “beyond ecstatic to join the amazing @si_swimsuit family!!!!”
“If someone told me at the beginning of my career that this would happen I would of said “tell em his dreamin” haha! Thankyou @mj_day @jamesmacari @ja_neyney @darciebaum and the whole SI awesome peeps for embracing who I am in the 2015 issue!!!!!”
Sports Illustrated have made the most of the opportunity too, uploading video footage of 25-year-old Lawley’s shoot as one of the edition’s “Rookie’s”.
But the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue hasn’t been without controversy. The revelation of 24-year-old model Hannah Davis on their cover caused a bit of a stir, with accusations that it’s a little too, well, revealing.
The 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue goes on sale on February 9.
