LISA’S VERDICT:

The new teeth whitening product from Colgate is pretty handy. The pack comes with a toothbrush — apparently designed with polishing bristles and stain removers — and a whitening pen that sits in the base of the toothbrush. So, when you brush your teeth in the morning and at night it’s easy to remember to pull out the pen and apply the whitening gel to each tooth — and it only takes a few seconds. “No waiting, no rinsing.” It’s great for everyday use, it’s not time consuming, it’s basically no hassle and certainly no mess. The thing is, though, Colgate promises a “beautiful white smile is now only a matter of days away” but I’m still waiting. It’s all well and good to create something that is easy to use, but you want it to work. My teeth don’t seem to be any lighter (it’s really hard to tell, I’ve tried to check in all different lights but can’t be sure), and they surely ain’t the pearly whites that the packet promises.

WHAT IT SAYS:

“Oral-B, the toothbrush brand recommended by dentists worldwide, is set to brighten Aussie smiles with a new whitening range that promises a whiter smile in just two days. The complete Oral-B 3D White system includes revolutionary Whitestrips, a toothpaste, toothbrush and rinse, so nothing can hold you back from laughing, smiling and leaving a lasting impression.”

ABBY’S VERDICT:

I found the flavour of the toothpaste quite refreshing and easy on the tastebuds … as did my kids who used it a couple of times proactively! The treatment strips were easy to put on and use, I didn’t find any problems with that. Unfortunately though, I can’t notice a lot of difference in my teeth colour after the treatment, which I did for longer than the two days recommended.
