THERE are product “gamechangers” and then there is St Tropez’s Gradual Tan In Shower.

So highly anticipated is this product that there is currently a waitlist of FIVE THOUSAND people in Australia alone.

Described as a world first “tanning breakthrough,” the product could spell the end to stained sheets, patchy elbows and sleeping overnight in greasy coconut-smelling formulas.

Yes, shut up and take our money.

But the real question is, does it actually work?

I tried St Tropez’s Gradual Tan In Shower over the past week and can attest that it is every bit as revolutionary as it promises.

You just apply the creamy formula in circular motions (which is super easy because your skin is already wet), rinse the palms of your hands, wait three minutes and then wash off.

The product develops over eight hours, so don’t expect an instant deep bronze, but after three days and three applications, I had the kind of streak-free bronzed glow that I would normally expect from a spray-tan.

Hey if it’s good enough for Kate Moss, it’s good enough for us.
Hey if it’s good enough for Kate Moss, it’s good enough for us.

The key word in this product is “gradual”, so the initial results will be fair, but simply apply consecutively to achieve peak faux glow.

The only downside? While three minutes doesn’t seem like long at all, it can actually feel like an eternity when you’re standing there butt naked and wet, so apply a hair mask or brush your teeth or exfoliate your face while you wait.

The reason the product works so well is because your skin is more porous while wet, so it will absorb the product’s ingredients far better.

Makes sense hey.

So there you have it. A product that actually delivers on its promises and isn’t too good to be true.

Summer, we’re coming at you.

St Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower is available from October 22 for $39.99 for 200mL.
