Australia's favourite bargain drugstore, Priceline, has launched a massive three-day sale, with huge discounts on products like fragrances, gift packs, skincare and cosmetics.

The sale runs in-store and online from today until Thursday, so shoppers can stock up on big brands, just in time for Mother’s Day.

Eager shoppers have spent the morning sharing the sale with their friends on social media, describing it as “tempting” and “dangerous” for their bank accounts as they make plans to get out before it ends.

One woman told Priceline to “take my money! I need new perfume!”

“There goes all my money,” another woman joked.

One shopper even described the pperfume-specific half-price sale as “scent-sational”.

Fragrances like Marc Jacobs Daisy, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Coach and Dolce & Gabbana have all been discounted by up to 50 per cent, as well as perfume gift packs.

Even toothpaste brands, Colgate and Oral B, have been slashed by 50 per cent.

Priceline representatives have predicted this week’s bestsellers will include Jimmy Choo Flash, slashed from $60 to $30, Estee Lauder Youth Dew, down from $80 to $36, and Gucci Guilty, on sale for $109 down from $147.

According to a Priceline spokeswoman, each pharmacy stocks about 700 fragrances, with one perfume sold “every 12 seconds”.

Crowd favourite Daisy, by Marc Jacobs is now 30 per cent off, setting shoppers back $109 compared to $159.

The brand’s Decadence fragrance has also been slashed, now $99, down from $150.

Priceline’s Senior Fragrance Buyer Meagan Logan said the fragrance sale was just the start of an interesting upswing in consumer demand for high end fragrances this year.

“Prestige fragrances will continue to drive the growth in this category,” she said.

“We’re also starting to see our obsession with food now influencing the ingredients used in many of our newer scents.”

Ms Logan said industry experts have also observed consumers experimenting with layering scents to create “unique and longer lasting fragrances”.

The sale also includes 40 per cent off selected skincare products such as A’kin, Antipodes, Blessed by Nature, Sukin and Dr Lewinn’s.

Selected makeup brands have also been heavily discounted, including NYX Professional Makeup.

The brand’s contour palette is now just $19.97, down from its usual $39.95, and it’s range of makeup brushes have been slashed by 50 per cent also.

The NYX Super Fat Eye Marker, a popular addition to the already affordable cosmetic line, has been reduced even further, from $17.95 to just $8.97.

Revlon cosmetics are also 50 per cent off, but a Priceline spokeswoman said savings and stock for all sale items may vary in stores and online.

Some stores are even offering free skincare gift bags to customers who spend $69 or more in store or online.

Shoppers must spend their cash on participating brands though, so they have been encouraged to confirm in store.
