Pete Evans’ wife Nicola Robinson posts throwback photo of herself as a child
JUST days after she had her breast implants removed, former model Nicola Robinson has shared how she once felt about her body.
NICOLA Robinson, the wife of paleo chef Pete Evans, has been open about the cosmetic procedures she’s had in the past.
She has dabbled in injectables and up until last week, she also had breast implants.
Robinson and Evans are self-anointed ambassadors for the “natural” paleo diet, so Robinson’s not-so-natural features are a double standard she has been forced to address.
She has described getting the implants is the “deepest regret of her life” and had them removed 10 days ago.
“I wasn’t leading a natural life, which is why I have two toxic silicon implants attached to my chest,” she told Channel 7’s Sunday Night program in March.
“You know, I dabbled in fillers, Botox, all sorts of things that were driven by my fear ... to try and make myself feel better.”
Last week, Robinson told her 38,000 Instagram followers that she was getting her “fake bewbies [sic]” removed. After the procedure she said she was “well and truly on the mend” and thrilled to be carrying a “much lighter load of unnecessary baggage”.
Now she has opened up about what she was like as a child and posted a throwback photo of what she used to look like.
“I begged my Mum for short hair and I tried desperately to be accepted by my three older brothers, mostly by exuding boyish behaviour and imitating everything they did,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside the fresh-faced photo of herself with short, dark brown hair.
“I thought I was meant to be a boy because I was so innately into [sic] bewwwwbs, especially big ones!
“I never spoke about it, because I thought it wasn’t at all normal and I desperately didn’t want anyone to think I was a weirdo, plus I already felt like I didn’t quite fit in, so confessing my feelings seemed like a totally unsafe option!
“Back then I was just completely and utterly fascinated by the female form and not at all interested in boys.
“I’m still deeply in awe of everything that represents, embodies and exudes the femininity. But I’m definitely wholeheartedly into my glorious husband now too! #selfacceptance.”
Robinson and Evans were married in April last year and live together with Evans’ two children from a separate marriage, Chilli and Indi.
The couple met in Adelaide five years ago, with Robinson introducing Evans to the paleo lifestyle. They started dating shortly after he announced his split from his wife of 11 years, Astrid Edlinger, in 2011.
Robinson previously worked in New Zealand as a swimsuit model and has dated Sydney nightclub boss Justin Hemmes and ex-All Blacks Matthew Ridge and Ali Williams. S
