Yesterday the model and Blurred Lines star shared a beautiful shot of herself wearing a red bikini, just days after she was slammed on social media for posting a naked photo.
Ratajkowski, 24, was skinny-shamed on Instagram, with one follower writing: “Please give her a sandwich #starving”, while another added: “For the love of ..., eat something!”
In response, she posted a photo of herself eating surrounded by delicious-looking pastries and sandwiches. She captioned the pic: “Couldn’t decide on one.”
Ratajkowski says she originally posted the naked photo in solidarity with Kim Kardashian, who also copped flak for posting a nude photo of herself on Instagram.
Kim sent her flowers and a hand written card as a thank you.
“Thank you for the beautiful flowers and note @kimkardashian,” Ratajkowski wrote on Instagram. “It’s so important that we let women express their sexuality and share their bodies however they choose.”
In an interview with Editorialist magazine last August, she said: “Complex and dynamic female roles in my age range don’t come around very often. If I could choose … it would be someone who has nothing to do with being pretty or attractive.”
