An American woman who was arrested for allegedly stealing $154 worth of eyeshadow has denied she did anything wrong. But her mugshot telling a different story.
Police were called to a beauty store in Arkansas on Monday after Brandy Allen, 31, started “grabbing handfuls of makeup”, local news station KSFM reports.
She didn’t look at the colours, labels or prices, police say.
Ms Allen entered the store with another woman who tried to distract store employees by asking questions and leading them away from her alleged accomplice.
When police arrived at the store and asked to see the contents of Ms Allen’s purse, she fumbled through her bag for several minutes before taking out numerous eyeshadows, which had been smeared with her fingers try and make them looked used.
She then yelled at police and the store manager, saying “No one f***ing saw me steal anything,” according to a police report.
Ms Allen was later charged with shoplifting and disorderly conduct.
