A $35 Kmart device, dubbed a budget-friendly alternative to the $900 Dyson airwrap, has left shoppers in disbelief with its “amazing” results.

A $35 hair styling tool from Kmart is creating a frenzy online, hailed as a budget-friendly alternative to high-end brands like Dyson and Revlon.

Melbourne woman Paris Woods catapulted the Anko brand “hot air styler” into viral fame with her enthusiastic review this week, amassing over 1.1 million views.

In the video, Ms Woods demonstrated the effectiveness of the $35 Kmart product, comparing it to the pricier Dyson Airwrap and its Styler Volumizing Brush Attachment.

“I might actually have to swap over from the Dyson at this point,” she captioned her video.

Using the pink Anko brush tool, Ms Woods effortlessly styled her wet wavy hair, achieving remarkable results in just about five minutes.

“Are you kidding me, it looks so good,” she said, clearly impressed by the tool’s performance.

This comparison has sparked widespread interest, given that the Dyson Airwrap retails for around $900.

Social media users noted that the Anko product, with its oval shape, more closely resembles the Revlon One-Step Volumiser, which is priced at about $85.

However, many weren’t convinced that the budget tool could replicate the results of the higher end products.

To address scepticism from her viewers, Ms Woods created a side-by-side comparison video, using the Dyson on one half of her head and the Anko styler on the other.

“Both of these tools are amazing,” she affirmed, though she admitted a preference for the ease of use of the Dyson due to its higher price point.

“I feel a lot more comfortable using this (the Dyson airwrap), I do think it’s much easier to use – but that’s probably because its $900,” she said.

However, she was notably impressed with the volume provided by the Kmart product.

For all those people saying the Kmart one will never compare to the Dyson, I’m pretty happy, for $35 compared to $900,” she said.

The budget-friendly nature of the Anko hot air styler has not gone unnoticed, with many commending its value for money.

“I literally just bought this today as I’ve been rocking a mum bun for way too long now and I need something easy,” a commenter wrote.

“No way, this is so good,” another said.

As one declared: “I’m buying this immediately.”

Dyson is known for investing millions of dollars into research and technology of its products, with its haircare range being designed specifically to not damage hair and maintain hair health.
