KATE’S VERDICT:
This Swedish-based company launched in 2013 with a mission to “redefine skincare” and I have to say, after using the LUNA for three weeks, I totally agree. My skincare regime has been redefined.
This little device is a wonder — it’s easy to use, and it does exactly what it claims to: It cleans your face, and it cleans it better than anything has before. The little bumpy pimples I had appearing along my hairline and my jaw line have totally cleared up since using the LUNA, and I know that it’s down to the device because I haven’t changed anything else to do with my diet or my skincare since. There are no bristles (the brush is silicone) so the LUNA is super easy to clean, and the battery life is astounding: I’ve charged it once and used it every day since, and the battery still hasn’t run out.
My only criticism is that the recommended use of twice a day for two minutes is excessive — I use it once a day in the shower, for about one minute, and still get results. This is absolutely worth the investment.

BEC’S VERDICT:
I’ll admit I was sceptical at first. I use a regular exfoliator everyday — with great results — and couldn’t see how the VisaPure would benefit me. Plus, I was underwhelmed when I used the Clarisonic and couldn’t see what all the fuss was about. But the VisaPure did win me over.
I cleansed my face as normal to remove surface dirt and makeup, then used the VisaPure with my normal cleanser. The brush is soothing and gentle — though I did stab myself in the eye a few times.
The VisaPure automatically switches off after one minute, to prevent you from over-exfoliating your face. My skin didn’t feel as smooth as when I normally exfoliate, but it did give me a kind of mini-facial. Blackheads were significantly reduced, as were small ‘bumps’ I had on my chin and temples.
I’d urge caution if you have dry or sensitive skin — my face felt a little tight afterwards — but the deep cleanse is worth it. The instructions advise to use the VisaPure twice daily, but I think that’s excessive. I’ll be using mine once or twice a week.
