Christy Turlington Burns and Ed Burns turn up the heat for ETERNITY by Calvin Klein
CHRISTY Turlington Burns, the original face of ETERNITY by Calvin Klein, has rejoined the team for their new campaign — alongside smouldering hubby Ed Burns.
CHRISTY Turlington Burns, the original face of ETERNITY by Calvin Klein has rejoined the team for their new campaign — alongside actor husband Ed Burns.
The genetically blessed duo are pictured sprawled on the beach in Turks and Caicos in one image, and gazing into the camera in another.
Married since 2003 and parents to Grace and Finn, the chemistry is clear between Turlington and Burns, who told the Los Angeles Times that the shoot was “much easier to do ... with someone you know so well and that you’re intimate with in real life”.
“In the beginning we were pretty giggly,” admitted Turlington. “After the first day, Ed said to me, ‘I’m so glad you’re not doing this with somebody else.’ I said, ‘I wouldn’t be doing this with someone else!’”
But the partnership with Calvin Klein isn’t all smouldering stares and sandy hair; it has a philanthropic side, too.
The fragrance campaign coincides with the launch of Calvin Klein’s The ETERNITY Project, a global initiative with the mission “to foster the message of eternal love and commitment through the support of various charitable endeavours to help better individuals and communities”.
The first charity they are joining forces with is Turlington Burns’s charity, Every Mother Counts. Every Mother Counts (EMC) aims to end preventable deaths caused by pregnancy and childbirth around the world. The ETERNITY Project will launch with a global announcement featuring Turlington Burns, and for one week in May proceeds from the U.S. sales of the limited edition ETERNITY Calvin Klein 25th Anniversary Edition bottles will go towards the support of EMC.
“I am so grateful for the support of Every Mother Counts and thrilled to be back representing this brand along with my husband. This is my new favourite ETERNITY Calvin Klein campaign of all time,” said Turlington Burns.
“We are thrilled to continue the house’s longstanding relationship with Christy, while welcoming Ed into Calvin Klein’s ever-evolving legacy of iconic advertising visuals,” Tom Murry, Chief Executive Officer of Calvin Klein, Inc., said.
“Christy and Ed are the ideal couple to represent our timeless ETERNITY Calvin Klein fragrance, as we continue to support the brand with a new global advertising campaign and an expanded offering with ETERNITY NIGHT Calvin Klein.”
“Christy is synonymous with the house, and featuring her alongside Ed was a natural choice, because together they perfectly capture the spirit of eternal love,” said Steve Mormoris, Senior Vice President of American Fragrances, Coty Prestige.
Well, if that’s what eternal love looks like, we want what they’re having!
