A “dupe” for a viral $54 product is being sold at Chemist Warehouse with a whopping $24 price difference.

TikTok user Jess, who works at Chemist Warehouse and shares insider tips from the retailer, said Bali Body’s bronzing serum was a dupe for the viral Drunk Elephant bronzing drops that are currently sold out across Australia.

She tested the product, sold at Chemist Warehouse, by putting a drop in with her moisturiser, as per the instructions.

“I’ve got a good amount of moisturiser - I don’t know how much to use [of the bronzer] but I think it depends on how dark you want it,” she said.

“I mixed it together on the back of my hand. It did blend well and gave me a beautiful bronze glow.”

She said she would recommend having fake tan on as it may look “funny” with pasty skin, adding you could apply it to the cheeks as a cream bronzer.

Jess added the product was a dupe, in her opinion, but asked others what they thought of it.

The item retails for $29.95, compared to the $54 price tag of the Drunk Elephant product.

Social media users rushed to the comment section of the TikTok video to share their opinion.

“This looks a lot better than the drunk elephant drops in my opinion and also a more affordable option. Very nice,” one social media user commented on the clip.

Another said: “Noooo don’t sell them out too.”

One suggested their own dupe for the Drunk Elephant product - Flower Beauty Heatwave.

Another added: “Nup because I’ve been doing this for ages and now it’s doing to sell out.”

One person added that they had been left disappointed by the Drunk Elephant product when they had purchased it and mixed it with the moisturiser.

Another added: “Yes, I’ve been using this as a replacement for DE and it’s so comparable.”
