If you have noticed your Instagram feed bombarded with snaps of celebrities and influencers alike holding their bottoms with their hands — rest assured it’s the latest viral trend.

The pose gives you an instant “bum lift”, without the hefty price tag of a procedure, and can be applied in different angles.

Aussie fitness star Tammy Hembrow, who is already known for her toned behind, recently shared a snap accentuating her curves from below.

Turning her back to the camera, Tammy grabbed onto her bottom, gently lifting it up to make it appear even rounder.

The pose has also been championed by model Emily Ratajkowsk, Demi Rose and Bella Hadid.

Emily shared a sultry photo of herself on a yacht, as she posed in a multi-coloured bikini with a red cropped cardigan over the top.

She stood side-on to the camera, looking over her left shoulder as she grabbed her bottom.

Influencer Demi also adopted a similar pose in a black bikini and knee-high boots, while model Bella also created the look in a bikini.

One influencer who really embraced the pose was UK reality star Chloe Ferry. She was snapped on the beach wearing G-string bikini bottoms as she firmly grabbed a hold of her behind.

Another UK reality star, Mary Bedford, who appeared on Love Island, took the peachy look off the shores and onto the grass.

She donned a neon-green one piece in a garden with minimal jewellery as she displayed her perky behind.

Celebrities such as Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian, have helped sparked the trend for a fuller bottom, with the stars known for their famous booties.

And with that came the desire for the controversial Brazilian Bum Lift — a procedure which sees fat transferred from the waist to the hips and bottom.

However, it was considered so dangerous, a specialist Australian task force was set up in 2018, to warn women of its risks.

The operation, which can cost upwards of $14,000, raised alarms after a number of complications and number of deaths.

According to the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), the mortality rate for BBLs is estimated to be one in every 3000 operations — meaning it has a higher rate of death than any other cosmetic procedure.

However, the pose in question gives women an instant and natural lift, with the trend continuing to dominate social media feeds.
