One of the world’s most famous reality star’s has left fans stunned with her new look. Now Aussies are clambering to recreate it.

The Beauty Diary: Effortless curls using just one tool

It’s official, we’re in our cowboy era, with everything from fashion to music embracing the boot scootin’ trend in 2024.

While the cowboy craze is no new phenomenon, after falling out of favour, it has been slowly regaining momentum; and now it is firmly back in vogue.

This is partly due to Taylor Swift who caused sales of cowboy boots to soar as a direct result of her global Eras Tour, and Beyonce who just dropped her ‘Cowboy Carter’ country album to rave reviews.

Now the wild west has infiltrated its way into our beauty decisions, with celebrity Australian hairstylist Jaye Edwards revealing there has been a rise in customers requesting “cowboy copper” at his nationwide salons.

Khloe Kardashian sparks rise in Aussie trend

New hair trend on the rise in Australia

“The return of cowboy copper hair is back. Khloe Kardashian recently jumped on the cowboy trend after unveiling her new hue, and she’s not the only one, we’ve had a huge uptick in clients asking for the colour in my salons,” he told news.com.au’s The Beauty Diary.

“These warm toned, copper hues are a stunning example of how you can rock copper and the different variations of the colour.

“Whether you’re wanting something subtle or a more concentrated colour, there are some key differences, and you’ll need to know how to maintain your colour at home.”

What is cowboy copper?

Cowboy copper is a mid-weight variation of the popular shade, think copper mixed perfectly with warm brown.

Jaye, who owns EdwardsAndCo – a premium hairdresser chain with 9 salons, explained the dusty red hue of Khloe’s new hair would require an extensive session with a colour expert.

“Khloe has opted for quite a brighter, and deeper glossy copper,” he shared.

“This vibrant colour might not be for everyone, but you can customise this copper to be lighter, with blonde highlights to appear softer and more low maintenance.

“Khloe’s copper would involve a full colour service, however you can customise the tone and brightness with your hair stylist.”

Becoming a copper-haired beauty is not for the faint-hearted, it’s arguably just as high maintenance as being blonde, but you can prolong colour with specialist treatments.

“Copper can be tricky to maintain, and usually needs to be retouched every 4-6 weeks. A little trick to get the most out of your colour is by investing in some good quality hair care. I recommend the O&M CLEAN.tone Copper Color Treatment which is great to freshen up your copper from home, resulting in vibrant, glossier, and fresh colour.” says Jaye.

As another declared: “Khloe this hair on you is IT. SO hot.”

“Taking red hot literally,” stated one other.

“This colour really brings out your natural beauty,” another fan raved.
