Australian tattoo artist reveals her client’s rainbow freckle tattoos
An Australian tattoo artist has unveiled the rainbow freckles she tattooed on her client’s face — and it’s been met with mixed reaction.
A tattoo artist has revealed her client’s unusual rainbow freckle inking — and was met with a mixed reaction by followers on social media.
Australia-based artist Daisy Foxglove featured one of her clients — referred to as Jelly — on her TikTok account.
“This is Jelly, and these are the rainbow face tattoos we made for her today,” Daisy began in a video.
“I’m a cosmetic tattoo artist and I’ve been known for doing weird and wacky wonderful things to people’s faces, including of course, rainbow freckles.”
At the beginning of her appointment, Jelly told Daisy that she wanted her rainbow freckles to feature shapes such as hearts, moons, and stars.
And before getting tattooed, Jelly already had natural freckles, Daisy noted.
Daisy used three different machines during the tattoo to make things a little bit easier on herself.
Colour wise, they ended up using pink, purple and blue, with a small amount of peach and red mixed in. The freckle tattoos were Jelly’s first ever coloured ones, as she normally gets all black.
“These will fade down quite dramatically during the healing process, as although we have used some very intense colours, these are still a cosmetic tattoo,” Daisy explained.
Daisy noted that the work that she does is considered controversial, as there are tattoo artists out there who wouldn’t tattoo freckles on people’s faces.
Backing her passion she said: “I personally love knowing that I get to go to work and make people feel like the most authentic fabulous versions of themselves every single day.
“Sometimes that’s with a really subtle natural looking ombre brow. Sometimes it’s with restoring someone’s vermilion border with a lip tattoo.
“And sometimes it’s a project like this where I can make people look a little more on the outside the way that they feel on the inside.”
Some TikTok users weren’t so sure of Jelly’s statement freckles.
“They do look cute, but they’ll go out of fashion really quickly,” one said.
“These look so cute fresh but I can’t help but wonder what sun damage and time will do to them… How do they hold up?” another questioned.
Other users were completely on board and obsessed with Jelly’s new look.
“This is so cute and suits her, well done,” someone approved.
“Oh my goodness I love these so much,” another gushed.
A potential customer stated: “Oh my god!!!! Why am I in the US, I need this.”
“NO YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND – IM OBSESSED,” a fond viewer mentioned.
Another approving user said: “Love this so much! Made me so happy.”
And an extremely sweet person said: “I cannot imagine anyone who would suit these more than Jelly. She looks like such a fun person.”
