Woman’s shock reaction after drinking alcohol following lip filler

A woman has revealed the “worst thing” she could have done following a lip filler procedure that left her unrecognisable.

A woman who decided to get straight on the booze after having lip filler has shared a snap of the horror result.

In a TikTok, that has now gone viral, the woman who goes by the name of Morgan Proudlock, explained that drinking alcohol following her procedure was the “worst thing” she could have done.

“(The) pain was ridiculous,” she said in the clip.

Morgan, from the UK, had her lips injected with hyaluronic acid, a type of lip filler, to enlarge them.

She then went out for drinks with friends and the following morning she was shocked to discover her lips – and the area around them – were extremely puffy and swollen.

Morgan said she didn’t drink “that much” but it was enough to cause a severe reaction.

“It’s because I drank and you not meant to straight after so I’d advice you avoid alcohol for a few days,” she told viewers looking at getting the procedure.

One woman said the same thing happened to her, adding she too was in “so much pain”.

“Mine looked like that too. It went down the next day. But I def learned my lesson not to drink the day of my injections!!” the woman wrote.

Morgan described her reaction as “horrid” but told viewers the swelling and pain eventually subsided.

According to Healthline, alcohol acts as a blood thinner and so people should avoid it for at least 24 hours after getting lip fillers.

“Alcohol can also cause inflammation, increase the likelihood of bruising, and make swelling worse,” the site explains.

“It’s also a good idea to avoid alcohol a few days before your appointment.”

Briana, 22, from the US, revealed that her lips became so big that she said she looked like a character from The Grinch.

The TikToker didn’t drink any alcohol, but had experienced severe swelling.

“You guys I just got lip filler and it’s so f***ing swollen, is this bad?” she asked viewers.

while many were concerned, others reassured her it was “normal”.

Brianna then shared a follow-up video showing that the swelling had gone down.

“I assure you guys, I am A-okay,” she said in the video.

“This has actually happened to me before and I talked to my doctor and he said it was fine and I wasn’t having an allergic reaction or anything.

“I just get really swollen.

“I appreciate all the concern though, I’m fine.

“I just thought I looked hilarious and thought I would share with you guys.”
