A BOGUS doctor who injected fake Botox into women leaving one looking like she had been “in a fight” is facing jail.

Ozan Melin, 42, left three women in agony after using the “extremely dangerous” unknown substance on them using his mobile clinic in the UK.

Their faces ended up so swollen they were unable to see and one compared herself to a hamster.

Melin convinced women he was a cosmetic surgeon who trained in America but the UK General Medical Council had never heard of him.

He denied the charges on the basis that the women had consented to the treatment.

But a jury found him guilty of causing grievous bodily harm to two of his victims and will be sentenced next month.

Marcelle King, 62, had to be taken to A & E (Accidents & Emergency) after going into anaphylactic shock following her treatment, while Carol Kingscott, 58, still has a dropped brow from her dodgy injections.

Marcelle King was hospitalised and put on a drip.

A third women, Jozette Sheppard, 46, was left with a permanent dent in her face and was unable to eat or drink properly for six months.

The court heard how Mrs Sheppard, a beautician, and her friend Ms Kingscott, had received treatment for their jowls and brows in November 2011.

The first treatment did not work and Melin agreed to give them a free top-up days later but after this second appointment both women’s faces became hot and started to swell.

Ms Kingscott said she looked like she had been “in a fight and lost” after her face became so bruised and swollen she barely recognised herself in the mirror.

She told the court: “The second time he injected my face and it seemed to feel a lot deeper this time.

“It was like having a tooth drilled without any anaesthetic.

“About an hour after it started to feel really hot, like I had had too much sun. Shortly after that it started to swell and bruise.

“I took painkillers and put cold flannels on to soothe it, then when it started to itch I put calamine lotion on.

“The next morning I looked awful, I barely recognised my own face in the mirror.

“My eyes had closed, my brow had dropped, one eye in particular, and the swelling all around my eyes was awful.”

She said part of her face remained frozen for a year afterwards and her brow dropped — adding she was forced to grow her fringe out to hide her injury.

The court also heard Melin had visited Mrs King at her home to administer the treatment in 2013, but did not ask for a medical history, and was paid £300 ($540) for administering Botox to her jawline.

When she complained to Melin she had been left hospitalised and put on a drip, he told her: “No pain, no gain”.

She reported him to police and the other two came forward complaining they could not eat or speak properly for six months following the injections.

A forensic plastic surgeon who examined the women said the substance they were injected with had “no Botox effect” and Melin had not got it from Allergan, the company that manufactures Botox.

Judge Brian Forster released Melin on unconditional bail until a sentencing hearing in June but told him he was in a “very serious position”.

The judge said he could not give any indication what the sentence would be.
