Australia decides: The ultimate news.com.au poll

Australia has delivered its verdict on the issues sparking fiery debate. The news.com.au poll results are in, and one response is particularly harsh.

Americans try meat pies for the first time

At the heart of good investigative journalism is finding answers to key issues that are in the public’s best interest.

Here at news.com.au, we strive to provide those answers. Tomato or barbecue sauce on a Bunnings snag? Meat pies or sausage rolls? Chris or Liam Hemsworth?

Over the past three days, nearly 40,000 of you voted in our poll series on the nation’s biggest issues. The results are interesting — you are evenly split when it comes to the Crunchie and Violet Crumble, but your view on the favourite princess is particularly harsh.

For what it’s worth, recent Australian Bureau of Statistics data shows 87 per cent of divorces in Australia are triggered by disagreements over which flavour of Twisties is superior. And at least one in five bar fights are triggered over some idiot screwing up the words to a Barnesy song.

Firstly, Aussie snacks. It turns out most Aussies believe Vegemite and Jatz are thesh*t, while Chicken Twisties and Mint Slices are just plain sh*t:

And while we’re on the subject of delicious snacks, Chris Hemsworth was voted the favourite brother with a whopping 28,000 votes:

Also, our nation is also weirdly anti-Meghan Markle. Travesty!

So there you have it. Now go forth, share these results with your friends and family, and enjoy the rapid destruction of all your closest relationships. You can also express your frustration in the comments below.
