Kyle Clarke's doppelganger gown on the 2014 Allan Border red carpet
MRS Clarke stunned in a bejewelled dress last night but fashion watchers were quick to point out it looked very familiar. You be the judge.
AUSSIE cricket's First Lady, Kyly Clarke may have had a small case of deja-vu at last night's Allan Border medal dinner.
Kyly collaborated with burgeoning Sydney-based designer Daniela Stephanie on an exquisite royal blue, sequined dress with a train and sheer panelling at the bodice. The statuesque model and style-lover was also adorned with magnificent diamonds from celebrity jeweller favourite, House of K'dor.
But social media quick to point out a similar dress on Instagram, designed by Lebanese red carpet favourite designer, Ziad Nakad, for his 2014 Fall collection.
"Does the left dark blue one look like the one Mrs Clarke wore tonight? So similar,'' said a post from @champagnebutterflies that was on the Instagram feed belonging to Aussie blogger @the-stylust.
Last night the designer of Kyly's dress was beaming about her creation as it was a mean feat of intricately-made, red carpet fashion.
"Several months of design meetings with Kyly Clarke and months of beading really pays off. You looked absolutely beautiful sweetie,'' Daniela posted on her Instagram feed.
Ever chic Kyly added her thanks to Daniela for the eye-catching gown.
"Cannot wait to joint design another dress with you soon!!!!! You're gold!!! X" she replied.
While hardly anything is genuinely 'new' in the big, wide world of fashion, one thing is for sure, Sydney's Daniela Stephanie is a red carpet designer name in the spotlight.
