THIS property includes everything a house hunter could want, or maybe not: four double bedrooms, great city location and bodies buried in the backyard. What?

The devil, they say, is in the detail, and never more so than with property ads. The final line of the estate agency's description of a home in London takes some beating: "It is important to note that the previous owners' last wishes were to be buried in this garden, which is where they both currently rest."

Indeed, the husband and wife - she died a few years ago, he just recently - are both interred under a floral display in the garden, according to The Guardian.

But agent Richard Porter said that the husband indicated before he died that he was happy for them to be moved if necessary in the future.

Mr Porter said with no direct relatives still living, an exhumation licence should be easy for buyers to secure, adding that it would cost about $13,000.

"Upon finding out about the bodies in the garden the majority of people we speak to don't seem to have a problem with it," he also told the Metro.

"You do get people who aren't prepared to live by a church or a graveyard anyway," he continued. "But most of the most populated parts of the country are built on places where people have been buried."

If you think having the previous owners buried in the yard should knock down the price, think again. The property at Teddington, in London's south west, is listed for $1.2 million.

"But we are expecting it to go for closer to Pound750,000, ($1.37 million)," says Mr Porter.

Dating from 1875, the house is believed to have originally been a hotel.
