OVER 30 gay couples will reportedly wed on-air during Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' performance of Same Love at today's Grammy Awards.

Kiwi teenager Lorde is expected to win big at the ceremony in Los Angeles, with four nominations including the elite categories Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Bookmakers say the 17-year-old is almost certain to win Song of the Year for her worldwide hit Royals.

Excited fans took to Twitter after it was revealed Beyonce and husband Jay Z will open the star-studded show with a performance of Drunk in Love.

Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney will reunite for a performance to mark 50 years since the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Madonna will join Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to perform Same Love with Queen Latifah acting as a marriage officiant.

According to the New York Times, 34 gay, straight and interracial couples - including Lewis' sister and her boyfriend - will exchange vows at the Staples Centre.
