Apple Martin’s playful act at ritzy event divides
Apple Martin has made her society debut but there’s footage of her going viral on her big night and it has divided.
Apple Martin has become a debutante, and footage of her posing at the event is going viral, with some claiming she was behaving “entitled”.
The 20-year-old daughter of the “consciously uncoupled” A-lister Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay’s Chris Martin has made her societal debut.
The former married couple happily posed with their daughter, looking beautiful in a blue Valentino dress.
Martin has just returned from his sellout tour in Australia, where, at one point, he stopped to express his gratitude for our country by kissing the airport tarmac.
The whole family was together. Apple’s younger brother Moses and her grandma Blythe Danner were also there.
Gwyneth has already posted about it online and called it a “special weekend in Paris” alongside a slew of family photos.
Apple’s societal debut has also gone viral and not just because she looked fabulous.
Footage published by a French publication shows the moment she decided to seize the moment and have a little fun at the formal event.
The 20-year-old was in line with all the other debutants waiting for her turn to be photographed and posed.
When it was her turn, she stood out from the line, posed dramatically in front of the cameras, and swished around.
It looked like she was having fun at the ritzy event.
Apple’s act immediately divided.
Some people claimed that her playful move meant she “stole” the girl’s moment that was posing just before her.
“She just came and stole that other girl’s thunder,” one said.
“Mean girl of a teenage film vibes,” another claimed.
Another claimed the move was too “look at me,” one said the act was “entitled,” and someone else called it “rude.”
There was also comments claiming the move proved she was her mother’s daughters but the comments didn’t read like a compliment.
Other people defended Apple’s behaviour and argued that she was having “fun” and shouldn’t get hate for posing like a diva.
“She’s young and having fun! Stop the hate,” one wrote.
“Wait! Come on this is iconic,” another argued.
“Slay Apple,” one praised.
“Why are people being so mean? She’s having fun,” someone else asked.
Apple’s appearance in Paris at the Le Bal Des Debutantes Ball is a bit of thing among children of famous people.
Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon’s daughter Ava made her debut in 2017, and Phil Colin’s daughter Lily Collins, who has gone on to star in Emily in Paris, was a debutant in 2007.
Clint Eastwood’s daughter Francesca participated in 2009 and Steve Harvey’s daughter Lori Harvey has also debuted.
