Fresh details reveal ‘chilly’ former first lady’s post-White House lifestyle

Insiders have revealed new details about the “chilly” former first lady’s glamorous new lifestyle – and her huge White House regrets.

Melania Trump’s next move: Her exit plans revealed

Melania Trump has swapped the White House for a life of staggering luxury – but it hasn’t stopped her from becoming increasingly “bitter” over her tainted legacy.

The 50-year-old has largely shunned the limelight since she and husband Donald Trump left Washington D.C. for their Mar-a-Lago club in Florida on January 20 ahead of Joe Biden’s inauguration.

Since then, few details of the mother of one’s new lifestyle have been revealed, and she has not been photographed publicly.

But now, several insiders have come forward with fresh claims about Ms Trump’s day-to-day activities, painting a picture of a post-politics life of indulgence.

‘BITTER AND CHILLY’

A number of sources familiar with the former first lady’s schedule told CNN Ms Trump had been largely disinterested in her husband’s second impeachment trial and instead was spending the bulk of her time at the Mar-a-Lago spa.

“She goes to the spa, has lunch, goes to the spa (again) and has dinner with Donald on the patio,” one insider told the network.

“Rinse and repeat. Every day.”

Another said Ms Trump regularly visited the spa twice in a day for beauty treatments, while a third said she often dines with her parents, who also live at Mar-a-Lago, in the evenings.

“It’s pretty much the same as it was before (she was first lady) or even when she would come down during vacations,” they said of Ms Trump’s new schedule.

However, despite her relaxing new pace, several individuals claim Ms Trump has voiced her mounting regrets over her legacy and has even expressed jealousy over new First Lady Jill Biden’s overwhelmingly positive reception.

Two sources described her as occasionally being “bitter and chilly” towards Mr Trump as she blames him for the serious hit her public image took in the wake of the January 6 insurrection.

And while Ms Trump often intentionally shied away from interviews and public events during her time as first lady, never once sitting down with a national publication, she is now reportedly questioning that stance following Ms Biden’s media blitz – and furiously blaming others for the decision.

“That seems unfair, but typical to blame everyone else,” one source told CNN.

“Everyone knows Melania Trump does what she wants when she wants, and not one staffer on her team could have done anything to change that.”

VALENTINE’S MESSAGE RAISES EYEBROWS

While she maintained her silence for several weeks since leaving the White House, Ms Trump has finally spoken out on social media by sharing several Valentine’s Day messages.

However, they immediately raised eyebrows for failing to mention her husband at all – a particularly glaring omission during a holiday dedicated to romance.

Ms Trump shared snaps of herself meeting sick kids at The Children’s Inn at the National Institute of Health, posting: “On this #ValentinesDay, I think of the brave and inspirational children at @TheChildrensInn @NIH where I visited the past few years.”

In a second tweet, she said: “It was wonderful to meet all of the incredible children from all around the world. Wishing everyone a happy #ValentinesDay weekend!”

Social media users instantly asked why Mr Trump wasn’t mentioned.

NEW OFFICE

The Valentine’s Day messages came hot on the heels of the announcement that Ms Trump had opened a private office from Mar-a-Lago, which was revealed over the weekend.

The news was issued in a tweet from “The Office of Melania Trump”, with followers urged to watch the account for “news and updates”.

It is understood the office will be used to promote her “Be Best” initiative which she launched in her role as first lady and which is aimed at children’s wellbeing.

While specific projects and upcoming goals have not been announced, the tweet provided a huge clue about Ms Trump’s priorities and plans moving forward.

Her husband has also opened an office in Florida which will be focused on furthering his political goals.

MELANIA VS IVANKA

Meanwhile, Ms Trump’s former friend and aide Stephanie Winston Wolkoff has also shared new allegations while appearing on the Mooch FM podcast, claiming the first lady was left with “no budget” for staff as most of the funds went to “first daughter” Ivanka.

“Melania didn’t have a budget and didn’t really have any staff,” she said, according to The Mirror.

“It was me interviewing everyone because Ivanka and Jared had used all of the budgets, all of the titles.

“Melania was left with a handful of titles and salaries that wouldn’t enable us to hire anyone with any experience.”

Ms Wolkoff, who also made a number of shocking claims about Ms Trump in her tell-all book Melania And Me, also claimed “no one” respected her role as US first lady.

BOOK DEAL

Meanwhile, speculation continues to mount that Ms Trump has a book deal in the works, with Page Six first reporting she was planning to pen a memoir of her time as first lady, which could be worth “big money”.

At the time, Aussie PR guru Nicole Reaney told news.com.au it would be a “genius move” that would allow the former model to tell her side of the story after years of scandals and criticism.

“Creating her own memoir gives her an uninterrupted platform to address these and control the messaging around her personal brand,” Ms Reaney said.

“It also empowers her to stand on her own, rather than be continually portrayed as walking a foot behind Donald Trump.”

Soon after that initial report landed, fresh rumours swirled that she was actually working on a coffee-table book showcasing her White House style.

DIVORCE RUMOURS

The end of the Trump presidency has also fuelled speculation of a potential divorce, with former contestant on The Apprentice and ex-White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman claiming Ms Trump was “counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce”.

US divorce lawyer Jacqueline Newman, managing partner of Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein, told Town and Country Ms Trump could expect to receive a divorce settlement of as much as $US50 million ($A68 million).
