Elon Musk offered mother of his 13th child millions to keep quiet, report

Behind Elon Musk’s mission to “repopulate” the earth lies an alleged web of secrecy and financial coercion, particularly when it comes to the mothers of his children.

The latest updates on Elon Musk's paternity and custody drama with Ashley St. Clair

Elon Musk’s vision of a future teetering on the brink of collapse has long fuelled his personal crusade to populate the planet with “high intelligence” offspring, it has been reported.

But behind the curtain of his self-styled mission lies an alleged web of secrecy, legal manoeuvring, and financial coercion, particularly when it comes to the mothers of his children.

One such mother, conservative influencer Ashley St Clair, found herself entangled in Mr Musk’s intricate system after giving birth to their son, Romulus.

She claims she was presented with a proposition: $15 million (A$23 million) upfront and $100,000 (A$157,000) monthly until the child turned 21, in exchange for her silence about Mr Musk’s paternity, in a special report by the Wall Street Journal.

Ms St Clair quickly declined, unwilling to render her child a secret. In response, Mr Musk’s team, led by his fixer Jared Birchall, allegedly reduced her monthly support to $40,000 ($A63,000), then to $20,000 ($A31,5000), correlating with her refusal to sign the nondisclosure agreement.

Mr Birchall, who manages Mr Musk’s family office and serves as his intermediary, allegedly warned Ms St. Clair that pursuing legal avenues would lead to much worse outcomes.

Mr Musk’s approach to fatherhood is deeply intertwined with his beliefs that the population will shrink beyond replacement levels. He has fathered at least 14 children with four women, including musician Grimes and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis.

Mr Musk refers to his offspring as a “legion,” aiming to reach “legion-level before the apocalypse,” and has suggested using surrogates to expedite the process.

The secrecy surrounding the arrangements is enforced through nondisclosure agreements, with financial retribution reportedly threatened if the mothers seek outside counsel or push back.

Mr Birchall has been reportedly instrumental in managing these agreements and even acquired property for a compound in Austin, Texas, where Mr Musk envisioned housing the mothers and children.

Ms St Clair’s refusal to sign the agreement stemmed from concerns about her son’s legitimacy and lack of provisions for his future wellbeing. She also desired a paternity test, which Mr Musk initially resisted. The New York Supreme Court eventually ordered the test, confirming Mr Musk’s paternity with a 99.9999 per cent probability.

Mr Musk’s ideology has now extended beyond his personal life into his political endeavours. As head of the Department of Government Efficiency under President Trump, he has advocated for policies aimed at increasing birthrates, viewing declining population as a greater threat than global warming.

But his methods have drawn heavy criticism.

Grimes has publicly expressed frustration over Mr Musk’s lack of engagement during their child’s medical crisis and his unilateral decisions regarding their children’s public appearances.

Meanwhile Vivian Wilson, Mr Musk’s daughter from his first marriage, has severed ties with him, criticising his refusal to accept her transgender identity and referring to her conception via IVF as a “purchased commodity.”
