DONALD Trump has once again taken a swipe at China over its inaction to rein in North Korea, accusing Beijing of doing nothing to stop its rogue ally.

The US President tweeted that foolish US leaders have allowed Beijing to make hundreds of billions in trade yet it did nothing when it came to stopping Kim Jong-un.

Mr Trump also implied he wasn’t going to let Beijing continue something that could be easily solved.

North Korea on Friday launched its second flight test of an intercontinental ballistic missile.

State media reported leader Kim Jong-un said the ICMB demonstrated his country can hit the US mainland.

The Korean Central News Agency said that Kim expressed “great satisfaction” after the Hwasong-14 missile reached a maximum height of 3,725km and travelled 998km before accurately landing in waters off Japan.

The launch, the second this month, alarmed analysts who fear a wide swath of America, including Los Angeles and Chicago, is now in range of Pyongyang’s weapons.

The test came just hours after the US and Japan moved to step up sanctions against Pyongyang following its first ICBM test earlier this month.

North Korea said its July 4 test was a “gift” to “American bastards” on their Independence Day.

The US President has repeatedly called on China to step up the pressure on Pyongyang and to do more to halt its nuclear program.

Earlier this month, he also criticised Beijing for not doing more on the North Korea issue.

He also denounced China’s trade with North Korea and cast doubt on whether Beijing is working with Washington to counter its nuclear threat.

Mr Trump’s renewed stance is in sharp contrast to his views in April when he lavished praise on President Xi Jinping for his country’s assistance in trying to rein in North Korea.

“I believe he is trying very hard. He certainly doesn’t want to see turmoil and death. He doesn’t want to see it. He is a good man. He is a very good man and I got to know him very well,” Mr Trump said at the time.

“With that being said, he loves China and he loves the people of China. I know he would like to be able to do something, perhaps it’s possible that he can’t.”

The following month he also tweeted China was working very hard and blasted Pyongyang for not respecting its ally.
