US President Donald Trump’s daughter Tiffany graduates from law school

She once flirted with a pop career – but Donald Trump’s youngest daughter Tiffany has now set her sights on a radically different profession.

She’s long been eclipsed by her famous half-sister Ivanka – but now Tiffany Trump is making headlines over her surprising choice of profession.

The 26-year-old daughter of US President Donald Trump and his second ex-wife, actress Marla Maples, has just graduated from Georgetown Law School and now seems set on a legal career.

It’s a far cry from her teenage dabbles in the music world, and proves she has no plans to follow in the footsteps of the many members of her family who have entered politics and business.

President Trump paid tribute to his daughter’s achievement yesterday, tweeting: “Just what I need is a lawyer in the family. Proud of you Tiff!”

Her boyfriend Michael Boulos also congratulated her on Instagram Stories, writing: “Congratulations Tiffy! You’ve come a long way to get to this point and after all the hard work and sleepless nights, you more than deserve it, it’s only the beginning now, love you honey and congrats again.”

The graduation ceremony was held online due to the coronavirus lockdown, with the Class of 2020 instead honoured with video tributes with degrees conferred virtually.

Tiffany Trump’s three older siblings – Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric, the result of the president’s first marriage to Ivana – all pursued business careers.

Her 14-year-old half-brother Barron, whose mother is First Lady Melania Trump, is still in high school.

While Tiffany’s next move is not known, it is expected she’ll sit the bar exam over the American summer which is necessary before she could begin practising law.

However, she has previously hinted she may end up joining the family business after all despite her law degree, telling reporter George Stephanopoulos in 2016 she was “interested” in bringing “a different kind [of] skill set to the company.”

WHO IS TIFFANY TRUMP?

Born on October 13, Tiffany Ariana Trump was named after the famous Tiffany jewellery brand.

She was just four years old when her parents split, and she soon moved thousands of kilometres away from her father to Los Angeles.

While she attended an exclusive private school and visited her father in New York several times a year, Tiffany once told People magazine her mother had given her a “normal childhood” complete with home-cooked dinners and a trampoline in the backyard.

She released a pop song in her final year of school in 2011 but went on to study sociology and urban studies at the University of Pennsylvania before enrolling at Georgetown Law School in Washington DC.

Her Instagram account shows her posing in gowns, swimsuits and designer outfits, and she’s known for partying with her so-called “Snap Pack” — a group of heiresses and celebrities including Robert F Kennedy Jr’s daughter Kyra Kennedy and Paris Hilton’s brother Barron.

But while she regularly shares pictures of herself with her father, when she does attend public events with the Trumps, she’s almost always pictured far to the side of the action and is very rarely pictured by the US President’s side.

She was often either notably absent on many occasions during Mr Trump’s presidential campaign, or seen awkwardly far removed from the rest of the family.

In fact, despite her lavish lifestyle and socialite friends, Tiffany was being referred to as the “forgotten Trump” by the media as far back as February 2017.

“Ivanka Trump was for many years the only daughter the public knew,” reporter Sarah Ellison wrote in Vanity Fair at that time.

“Tiffany, for her part, has been identified as the ‘forgotten’ Trump, which is an odd form of fame.

“She showed up late on the campaign trail after her graduation. Even then she appeared mostly under the protective wing of her half-sister.”
